HOME PORTRAIT INFORMATION
Home portraits are rendered in pen and ink on 16" x 24", 11" X 17" or 8
1/2" X 11" sized 2-ply Bristol plate paper with a neutral pH
for the best possible archival characteristics. A "plate" surface
is a smooth surface, designed for fine line work such as this. The artist
is particularly attentive to the details of your home resulting in a finely
articulated pen and ink art piece.

1. the size of the picture
2. the complexity of the illustration
3. how much of the surrounding areas such as gardens, shrubs, landscaped
areas, trees, you want included
4. the clarity of
your photos and/or architectural plans
5. if you want color added

If you live in or near Portland, Oregon, make an appointment to see artist's
portfolio, get an estimate, and discuss what you want done. If you live outside of Oregon, all can be done with email or snail mail and/or phone calls.
Photo session
If you live outside or far from Portland,
Oregon, you will need to provide the artist with photos. Photos should
include the perspective desired, plus close-ups of architectural and/or
floral details so the artist can see everything clearly.
* NOTE: If you live in or near Portland, Oregon, the artist will take the photos needed which is included in the pricing.
What
happens next
Once the photos and/or plans are
received, the artist lays out the picture in pencil. You have the option
at this point to view the illustration via email, fax, snail mail, or,
for Portlanders, by appointment to make changes before the artist begins
to ink it.
Timing
Timing depends on how long the preliminaries
(changes, approval time, mail time for plans and photos) require. Once
approved, the finished product takes no more than a few days to a week
to ink.
When finished, your illustration
will be mailed or delivered to you promptly with an invoice at which time
the artist will expect to receive payment.

For one building (2-point or elevation perspective) with surrounding foliage and background:
Black and White, pen and ink:
8 1/2" x 11" (this is often the best size for advertising purposes
- it is easier to scan and reduce for printing)
$250.00 (with color, add $75)
Black and White
11" x 17" (this is often the best size for gifts or display
purposes and also reduces very well for printing))
$350 - 600 (with color, add $150.00 )
16" x 24" (wonderful for display)
$600 - 1100 (with color, add $300.00)
